Missions

Tonight is the kick-off for the missions conference at my church.  I am so blessed and proud to be a part of a church that has a heart for missions.  I believe there s so much need all over the world both here and the foreign countries.  Missions makes up a big part of my heart.  In honour of the mission conference here are a few things to think about.
Through Christ,

How to begin, how to accomplish best
His end of being on earth, and mission high.

Our young men are going into the professional fields because they don't 'feel called' to the mission field. We don't need a call; we need a kick in the pants. We must begin thinking in terms of 'going out', and stop our weeping because 'they won't come in'. Who wants to step into an igloo? The tombs themselves are not colder than the churches. May God send us forth.                                     ~Jim Elliot
